How Sports Betting Works

From opening an account to understanding how pools pay out, here is everything in the order you will need it.

Twelve steps

Steps 1 to 3 happen once. The rest are how you use the platform day to day.

  1. Step 1: Create an Account

Select Register and enter your first and last name, email address, date of birth, province or territory, phone number and a password of at least ten characters with letters and numbers. Confirm that you meet the minimum age and accept the Terms and Conditions. Marketing emails are optional and off unless you tick the box. You are signed in as soon as the account is created.

    Create an account
  2. Step 2: Verify Your Identity

Open Account > Verification and submit a verification request. Our support team contacts you by email and asks for a valid government-issued photo ID and a proof of address dated within the last three months. Your account shows whether verification is not started, under review, verified or needs attention.

  3. Step 3: Confirm Eligibility

Verification confirms that you are at or above the minimum age for your province (18 in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec; 19 elsewhere, never below 18) and that you live where we can serve you. Ontario residents cannot register because Ontario runs its own regulated market.

  4. Step 4: Choose a Payment Method

The methods referenced for the platform are Bank Transfer, Bitcoin, Payz, i-Wallet and STICPAY. Which methods you can use, and their minimum and maximum amounts, are confirmed for your account during verification. All amounts are in Canadian dollars.

  5. Step 5: Explore Sports

Browse fourteen sports in the sportsbook. Schedules for the NFL, NCAA football, NBA, MLB, NHL, UFC, ATP and WTA tennis and the PGA Tour update automatically, with start times shown in Eastern Time and the available pool markets listed for each event.

    Open the sportsbook
  6. Step 6: Understand Pool Betting

Every sports bet is a pari-mutuel pool bet. Stakes on a market are combined, a published deduction is taken when the pool closes, and the remainder is shared among winning stakes. Your return is known only after the pool closes, so there are no fixed odds at placement.

  7. Step 7: Explore Live Sports

The live sports page lists events in progress with current scores and status, refreshed automatically, alongside the rest of the day's schedule. Use it to follow events; bet decisions are best made before a pool closes.

  8. Step 8: Discover Online Casino

The casino is organized into slots, live casino, blackjack, roulette, baccarat, poker, table games and instant win games. Each category explains the rules, the house edge and what return to player means.

  9. Step 9: Explore Virtual Sports

Virtual football, tennis, golf, horse racing, greyhound racing and motor sports are computer-generated events decided by a certified random number generator, running on a fixed schedule around the clock.

  10. Step 10: Set Personal Limits

In Account > Limits set daily, weekly or monthly deposit and loss limits, a session time limit and reality check reminders. Lower limits apply at once; higher limits or removals take effect after 24 hours.

    Set limits
  11. Step 11: Manage Your Account

Update your phone number, province and marketing preference, change your password, review your sign-in activity, take a cooling-off break, self-exclude or close the account, all from your account page.

  12. Step 12: Request a Withdrawal

When payments are enabled for your verified account, request a withdrawal from your account to a payment method in your own name, normally the one you used to deposit. The expected processing time for the chosen method is shown before you confirm.

Account Verification

Verification is required before any deposit, bet or withdrawal. We confirm your name, date of birth and address against the documents you provide, and we may ask for further documents if something does not match or to confirm the source of funds. Documents must be clear, in colour, show all four corners and be valid on the day they are sent. Altered or third-party documents lead to account suspension.

Deposit Requirements

  • Your account must be verified.
  • The payment method must be registered in your own name.
  • Deposits are made in Canadian dollars.
  • A deposit is refused if it would take you over a deposit limit you have set.
  • Minimum and maximum amounts for each method are shown in your account once confirmed with the payment provider. We do not publish figures before they are confirmed.

Withdrawal Procedures

  1. Open your account and choose Withdraw.
  2. Select a payment method in your name. Where possible, funds are returned to the method used to deposit.
  3. Enter the amount in CAD and confirm.
  4. We review the request; the first withdrawal may require additional verification.
  5. The payment is sent and the transaction appears in your account history.

Betting Rules

  • A bet is accepted only when it appears in your bet history.
  • Event details come from a third-party data feed. If they are clearly wrong, the official league result prevails.
  • Markets are settled on the official result, including overtime or extra innings where they form part of it, unless the market says otherwise.
  • Events cancelled, abandoned or postponed by more than 24 hours are void and stakes are refunded.
  • Betting on behalf of another person, collusion and the use of automated tools are prohibited.

Pool Betting Rules

  • Each market on each event has its own pool.
  • Pools normally close at the scheduled start time. Bets cannot be cancelled after closing.
  • The deduction for each pool type is published in the pool rules before wagering opens.
  • Dividend = (pool after deduction) / (total staked on the winning selection), per CA$1.
  • If nobody staked on the winning selection, all stakes in that pool are refunded.
  • Any figure shown before closing is an estimate, never a guaranteed price.

Responsible Gambling

Decide on a budget before you play and keep to it. Use deposit, loss and session limits, turn on reality checks and take a cooling-off break if you feel the urge to chase losses. Self-exclusion for 6 months, 1 year, 3 years or 5 years is available in your account or by emailing support@lberta4.slonik.store. Our Responsible Gambling page lists free helplines for every province.

Account Restrictions

We may restrict or suspend an account if verification is incomplete, if information provided is false, if we detect fraud, multiple accounts or collusion, if a customer appears to be at risk of harm, or if access is attempted from a jurisdiction we do not serve. Customers in a cooling-off or self-exclusion period cannot sign in until the period ends. We will tell you the reason for a restriction unless the law prevents us from doing so.
