Hockey

Hockey is Canada's game, and the NHL is the core of our winter pools. Every game is covered, including all seven Canadian franchises: Toronto, Montréal, Ottawa, Winnipeg, Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver.

The NHL regular season runs from October to April, with the Stanley Cup Final in June.

Pool markets

Each market on each event is a separate pool. Final odds for every pool are calculated only after it closes at the scheduled start.

Match Winner (Moneyline)

Pick the winning team. Includes overtime and the shootout.

Puck Line

A handicap market, usually 1.5 goals, settled on the result including overtime and the shootout.

Total Goals (Over/Under)

Combined goals of both teams including overtime. A shootout win counts as one goal for the winning team.

Regulation Time Result (3-Way)

Home win, draw or away win after 60 minutes only. Overtime and the shootout do not count.

Competitions

  • NHLLive schedule Regular season, Stanley Cup playoffs and Final.
  • CHL, PWHL and international hockey Junior, professional women's and IIHF events. Pools are not currently offered.

Hockey settlement rules

  1. Moneyline, puck line and totals include overtime and the shootout. The 3-way market is settled on regulation time only.
  2. At least 55 minutes must be played for full-game pools to stand.
  3. Settlement uses the official NHL game summary.
  4. If an event is postponed and does not start within 48 hours of the original scheduled start time, every pool on that event is void and stakes are returned.

Things to know before you bet

  • Starting goaltenders are usually confirmed on the morning of the game and matter more than any other lineup decision.
  • Back-to-back games often mean a backup goaltender.
  • Regular season games reach overtime often enough that the 3-way market behaves very differently from the moneyline.
  • Set a deposit or loss limit in your account before you join a pool. Limits can be lowered at any time.
